For the past decade, Twenty Summers—the beloved Provincetown-based arts nonprofit—has championed creative freedom by providing a platform for original projects and innovative ideas. To celebrate our 10th season of cultural programming, we will host an engaging lineup of events and performances with emerging and leading artists working at the intersection of art and social justice.
We have invited Kat Wright, the American singer and songwriter based in Burlington, Vermont, whose sultry but gritty and highly emotive voice has been described as “a young Bonnie Raitt meets Amy Winehouse” to perform an intimate concert for audiences in the historic and magical Hawthorne Barn this spring. Wright’s first full-length album, By My Side, was produced / recorded by Joel Hamilton (Tom Waits, Elvis Costello) and was voted Vermont’s "Best jazz/blues artist or group". Cape audiences will be moved by Wright’s eclectic, bluesy sound and activist spirit.
