UConn Kodama Taiko

The East Coast Taiko Conference (ECTC) is an annual event celebrating the art and culture of wadaiko, or, traditional Japanese drumming. As the only event of its kind held on the east coast, ECTC provides participants with technical skills and networking opportunities, through workshops led by accomplished taiko instructors in North America, and by connecting individual players to a larger taiko community. The event further introduces members of the general public to the Japanese history and culture that is connected with taiko, through a free final concert and discussion panels.
