UMass Amherst, Asian Arts and Culture Program

In February 2017, in celebration of Interfaith and Harmony Week, the Asian Arts and Culture Program will collaborate with presenters in New England to present the award-winning Yuval Ron Ensemble at UMass Amherst in concert. “Seeker of Truth” features four musicians and Dervish Aziz. Drawing from different musical traditions in the Middle East and South Asia, Yuval Ron’s music is a layering of soulful, meditative, and hypnotic mix that transcends one to move. Multiple residency activities will include an interfaith dialogue, community gathering, film screening and workshops that will be on campus and in community accessible settings to deepen the artist audiences interaction.
