"Word Becomes Flesh" is a highly acclaimed, critically relevant, thought provoking and emotionally engaging work. The piece crosses disciplines by weaving together spoken word poetry, theater, music, hip hop and dance in a lyrical exploration of the classic intersection of economics, gender, and race with a fresh and powerful voice. The piece is being presented by UMASS from October 8 - 10, 2013. Two days are being used for outreach activities and the third for an evening performance.
