The FAC believes in creating a welcoming space for its community, and the message of the Trocks reinforces this core belief. They refuse to let gender identity define who dances the leads in Swan Lake, just as the FAC's doors and conversations are open to all identities. The performance and workshops of the Trocks invites us to question our stereotypes and expectations, and encourages a welcoming community that honors every individual. As a region with a high percentage of both LGBTQIA and aging individuals, UMass is a powerful home for the conversations and experiences provided by the Trocks, which will make a meaningful impact on stage and in the community.
