The Magic Triangle Jazz Series, a program of the UMass Fine Arts Center, is extremely excited to bring Adam Rudolph’s GO: Organic Orchestra and Brooklyn Raga Massive to Amherst. This project brings together “two of the most interesting bands in the USA” (London Jazz Times) into a synergistic exploration of raga and contemporary creative music. Rudolph’s hypnotic polyrhythmic explorations propel a spontaneous conducted group of 25 musicians. Also, Rudolph had a 25-year relationship with the great Yusef Lateef, who lived in western Massachusetts. This concert is one of four separate educational activities to celebrate the centenary of Lateef's birth (Oct. 9, 1920).
