The Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry, UConn’s School of Fine Arts, UConn Puppet Arts Program, Center for Hellenic Studies “Paideia”, and Downtown Storrs, will present two performances of Aeschylus's "The Persians," designed and directed by Peter Schumann and Bread and Puppet Theater, accompanied by New York City new music group Ensemble Pi and volunteer performers from UConn and the Storrs-Mansfield community, on a Saturday and Sunday in late April 2022 at the Paideia Center's Greek Amphitheatre on Dog Lane in Storrs, Connecticut. The project will include workshop/rehearsals, post-show discussion, public forum, and presentation to UConn and E.O. Smith music students.
