University of Minnesota, Northrop Dance Series

University of Minnesota—Northrop will present David Roussève/REALITY’s, HALFWAY TO DAWN on April 13, 2019 at 7:30pm. Company artists will join the Northrop community for an extended week of engagement activities with audience and students on and off campus, faculty, and community members in meaningful discussions and explorations, and workshops. Activities will enhance and illuminate the concepts and ideas explored in Roussève’s choreographic work based on the life and music of Billy Strayhorn, touching on themes of fame, privacy, gay identity and the artist’s role as activist.
