URBANO Project

Urbano is a community art studio that fosters public and participatory art as a vehicle for personal transformation. Urbano’s Artist in Residence program invites artists to create innovative public art that addresses important social issues and that engages audiences as active participants. Artists in residence create and exhibit new work, offer free community events related to their work, youth workshops related to the resident artist’s practice.

Fund for the Arts is providing support over two years to a small cohort or organizations, including Urbano, to continue strengthening the public art sector in the Boston area.
