Waterbury Symphony Orchestra Inc

Criss Cross Orchestra will present "The Healing Power of African Drumming" at the Palace Theatre for students at WAMS and for all ages at the Mattatuck Museum. Concerts will be participatory & instructional, with traditional Ghanaian drumming and stories of (Artistic Director) Obuamah Addy's experience growing up in a family of traditional medicine musicians. Select students at WAMS will participate in a pre-concert workshop with 2 group members. Families have the opportunity to build percussion instruments before the Mattatuck concert.
