WaterFire Providence

Funding granted by NEFA will help WaterFire survive and support staff salaries, benefits and the continued creation of relevant arts programming during these challenging times. Government imposed physical distancing and crowd size limitations due to COVID-19 forced us to cancel our 2020 season and reduced income by 75%. We have temporarily pivoted attention and resources to developing WaterFire Arts Center programming until conditions allow us to present our large public art event back downtown. We respectfully request a $75,000 grant for the WaterFire Relief Fund to support the retention of staff, sustain institutional knowledge to facilitate the return of WaterFire and continue to create.
