Weathervane Community Arts

Weathervane Community Arts will present a workshop and performance by Boston-based musician Tev Stevig, as part of a New England tour (in collaboration with The Chocolate Church Art Center in Bath, Maine). The presentation will focus on Stevig's explorations of Turkish makam and related modal musics from the Mediterranean and Middle East regions. Activities will take place at the Montague Common Hall in Montague, MA, and will focus on engaging Montague's rural community of avid music and culture lovers. Participants in Stevig's afternoon workshop will have the opportunity to perform with him at his concert later that evening, as part of a student ensemble.
