Wesleyan University, Center for the Arts

Wesleyan University's Center for the Arts is presenting Voices of Afghanistan as the opening performance of both the CFA's Performing Art Series and as the launch event for the campus and community-wide exploration of Music and Public Life. Musicians will be integrated into Music, Religion and Feminist Gender and Sexuality Studies courses, Ustad Mahwash will lead a panel on Women and Islam, and host a percussion jam and a lecture demonstration with Homayoun Sakhi on the group's instrumentation.
