The Porter-Phelps-Huntington Museum will conclude its 30th season of Wednesday Folk Traditions with a performance by Afro-Semitic Experience. WFT is designed to reinforce local cultural heritage and traditions, and to introduce the community to folklore, music, and traditions of other cultures. The seven week series provides a cultural meeting-ground in which pride of diverse cultural heritage and sensitivity to ethnic diversity can be fostered. The 2011 lineup includes: Dave Mallett, Layaali Arabic Music Ensemble, MarKamusic, Woods Tea Company, the 2nd Annual Horace Clarence Boyer Memorial Gospel Performance with The Kevin Sharpe Group, Tshibangu Kadima and Rumbafrica, and Afro-Semitic Experience.
