Providence-based Case Closed! was founded by Sokeo Ros to promote the empowerment of youth through dance. At The Yard, Case Closed! will perform "The Stage is Yours," which uses urban dance and spoken-word narration of the dancers' personal stories to explore how dance has impacted their lives. The Family Friendly Pay-What-You-Can performance, part of the 2017 YARD ARTS Summer Season, will end in a public dance party. Residency activities will include an open level, all ages Community Dance Class taught by Sokeo and a Roundtable Discussion at the Edgartown Library with fellow Yard Artist-In-Residence and breakdance innovator Raphael Xavier.
