Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) is commissioning the world premiere of award-winning choreographer Kyle Abraham’s newest evening-length dance work. “Dearest Home” will be presented in YBCA’s Forum space from May 18 through May 21, 2017. The piece evolved in a multi-year research process, including three, week-long residencies at YBCA during 2016 and 2017 where Abraham and his company Abraham.In.Motion participated in and led cross-cultural community conversations and workshops. During his May 2017 residency leading up to the world premiere, Abraham will once again engage with YBCA’s diverse community and partners in transformative movement workshops and community conversations.
