Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2024, and is every citizen’s opportunity to exercise a fundamental right. Make your plan to vote!

We’ve gathered resources to ensure that our constituents in New England and across the country are aware of the regulations in each state regarding voter registration and absentee ballot requests, how to connect with the New England state arts advocacy organizations, and how nonprofit organizations can – and cannot – advocate.

2024 State Voter Factsheets

The Arts Action Fund, through their ArtsVOTE campaign, has pulled together fact sheets and social media graphics for all 50 states and six jurisdictions. As the rules vary from state to state, it is essential to review the process in your state in advance, whether you plan to vote by mail, vote early, or vote in person on November 5. View the New England states' fact sheets:

  • Connecticut: Register to vote by October 18; early voting begins October 21.
  • Maine: Voter registration must be received by October 15; early voting begins as early as October 7.
  • Massachusetts: Voter registration must be received by October 26; early voting begins October 19.
  • New Hampshire: Voter registration must be received by October 23; no early voting in New Hampshire.
  • Rhode Island: Register to vote by October 6; early voting begins October 16.
  • Vermont: Register to vote by November 1; early voting via absentee ballot.
