The Americans for the Arts convention is coming to Boston in June! NEFA has been hard at work to encourage regional participation in this annual conference.

We have awarded 11 scholarships to the main conference to arts leaders from Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont, and 15 scholarships to the public art pre-conference to constituents in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

NEFA’s deputy director Jane Preston is participating in two conference sessions, “Funding Programs and Artists Today,” and “New Community Visions for the Military, Health, and Wellness.”

NEFA plans to convene arts research colleagues attending the conference to kick off the next Creative Economy Employment Research Initiative, including a discussion of the research definition and artist survey methodology .

NEFA is proud to be a part of the event’s local host committee, and we are excited to connect with so many colleagues from across the region and across the country, and have the opportunity to showcase New England’s cultural assets.

Hope to see you there!
