(Boston, MA) The New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA) is pleased to announce that Saejin Yoo has joined the organization in the role of Program Coordinator, Regional Initiatives.
In this new role, Saejin will support two national initiatives in partnership with the other five Regional Arts Organizations. These new programs will support nonprofit organizations engaged in arts programming that uplifts underserved communities, especially communities of color, and will feature cohort building and learning.
Prior to joining NEFA, Saejin served as a special project coordinator the Social Innovations Forum where she designed and launched the Social Innovator Fund, promoting and directing gifts to local, grassroots organizations, and led a nation-wide cohort of leaders in exploring place-based intermediary work. As a co-founder and manager of a small, female-owned business, she was involved in all aspects of recruiting, relationship building, and sales. Earlier internships with the Longwood Symphony Orchestra and with the Boston University Arts Lab in project management and community engagement enabled her to develop relationships in the local arts community.
“Saejn comes to this role with shared values, resourcefulness, and enthusiasm, and brings a wealth of experience to building and engaging with cohorts. Her experience in the arts, project management, and strategic development is an asset as we work to establish new partnership models,” said Audrey Seraphin, NEFA’s program manager, regional grants and initiatives.
Saejin holds a Masters in Nonprofit Management from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Music from the Boston University School of Fine Arts. She resides in Boston.
The New England Foundation for the Arts invests in artists and communities and fosters equitable access to the arts, enriching the cultural landscape in New England and the nation. NEFA accomplishes this by granting funds to artists and cultural organizations; connecting them to each other and their audiences; and analyzing their economic contributions. NEFA serves as a regional partner for the National Endowment for the Arts, New England’s state arts agencies, and private foundations. Learn more at www.nefa.org.
