The New England Foundation for the Arts’ board of directors met on June 28 for the first meeting of the fiscal year 2024.
At the annual meeting, which was the first held in person since the pandemic, the board welcomed new board member Susan Evans McClure, executive director of the Vermont Arts Council, to her first meeting. The board also welcomed our new executive director Harold Steward to their first board meeting in advance of their official start date on July 10.
“Our first in-person Board meeting in three years was a wonderful opportunity to re-connect with the board and staff, both those in the room and those who participated remotely,” said John Henry, NEFA board chair. “We are thrilled to welcome Susan and Harold, and, for those board members rotating off, we express deep gratitude for their service to NEFA and their continued support of the arts.”

NEFA accomplishes this by granting funds to artists and cultural organizations; connecting them to each other and their audiences; and analyzing their economic contributions. NEFA serves as a regional partner for the National Endowment for the Arts, New England’s state arts agencies, and private foundations. Learn more at www.nefa.org.
