In 2014, the Afterglow Festival, an innovative stage arts festival in Provincetown, premiered "Gravitational Fool," a show that explores the relegation of queers to the archetype of The Fool, throughout history and artistic mediums. Backed by his neo-cabaret band, What Time Is It, Mr. Fox?, singer-songwriter, Brian King performs an internal/external wrestling match onstage using make-up, costume, monologues and original music. The show was presented again in 2017 through a partnership between Afterglow and the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge. Afterglow now seeks to present Gravitational Fool to audiences across New England through a tour in 2020.
