Dance Place proposes support of a residency by d. Sabela grimes in Fall 2019 to include: two public performances of ELECTROGYNOUS; master class with talk & chew; workshop examining racism in the dance community; pre-show artist gathering; and post-show audience discussion. d. Sabela grimes’ residency at Dance Place will target the DMV professional dance and theater communities, Black studies and LGBTQ+ studies students and professors, as well as Dance Place’s local Brookland/ Edgewood communities.
