the SOUND is a project that gathers voice recordings of the community to create sound installations and live performances. In collaboration with 826 Boston and Northeastern University, Beau Kenyon will record the voices and stories of newly immigrated high school seniors at the Boston International Newcomers Academy. Equipped with these recordings, a multilingual and multigenerational sound installation series will be mounted throughout the city. The voice recordings will also be foundational for two audience-immersive live performances, further activating the community stories with an original music score and dance.
