Cal Poly Arts seeks funding assistance to present Martha Redbone's "Bone Hill Project," a multi-media performance piece through which Ms. Redbone's return to her childhood homeland on Kentucky's Black Mountain and the coal mines of Harlan County, where her family has lived for centuries, is explored in song and images. Ms. Redbone and her 8-person ensemble will also participate in a lecture demonstration on the Cal Poly campus and an in-school outreach at a local Title 1 elementary school.
