Manual Cinema brings their unique story-to-live-film theatre experience to The O’Shaughnessy stage. Featuring live music, actors, green screens, overhead projectors, shadow puppetry and more, original stories unfold onscreen in film-noir-style while actors, musicians and technician make the cinematic action happen onstage, simultaneously, in front of the audience. The End of TV, depicts the promise and decline of the post-industrial Midwest through the eyes of Flo and Louise. Their quest for meaning is lived out in modern times, intercut with commercials and TV programs. The mini-residency features open rehearsals, a public workshop, performance, and "puppet time" audience interaction.
