RUBBERBAND

Trenzado Sharebacks focus on creating a conversational exchange w/Latinx & immigrant communities in the US while playing a large dramaturgical role in how Victor Quijada develops the staged work. Quijada & DJ Jasper Gahunia will begin these Sharebacks in 19-20 at locations prior to touring Trenzado & seek USA organizations who serve Latinx & immigrant communities as sites for these conversations. Victor Quijada will perform an excerpt from his solo while Jasper Gahunia live mixes the traditional Mexican music, followed by a conversation where he shares his personal story & invites community members to share their own experiences/perspectives on origin, homeland, identity & belonging.
