Embodiment Project

Inside/Outside is a community engagement initiative created by Embodiment Project (EP) in collaboration with Sonya Shah, Director of The Ahimsa Collective (TAC). EP will bring excerpts from their upcoming work ‘XXX Rated Planet: the epigenetics of femicide’, which explores gender-based sexual violence, to community spaces as well as jails and prisons in Northern California. Following the performances, EP and TAC will facilitate workshops with communities on the inside and outside that include personal narrative and healing circles to explore restorative justice practices. Conversations on root causes of gender based sexual violence will contribute to the further development of the work.
