In 2019, Bates Dance Festival (BDF) will present two performances of “What will we be like when we get there” by Joanna Kotze. The work will be presented in the Alumni Gymnasium. In addition, Joanna will teach a one-week intensive entitled 'Collaborative, Multi-Disciplinary Dance-Making' within the Professional Training Program (PTP) for dance students ages 18 and up. Her performance collaborators will join her in teaching elements of collaboration and cross-disciplinary practices. BDF and the local arts agency L/A Arts will host Joanna's collaborator Jonathan Allen for a month-long painting residency and gallery show.
