The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston

In February 2020, the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston (ICA) will present Reggie Wilson’s “POWER.” Continuing Wilson’s investigations of movement and rhythm in the traditions of Africa and its diaspora, “POWER” examines the Shaker religious community’s movement practices, histories, and values through the idiom of contemporary postmodern dance. In addition to two public performances of “POWER” on February 21 and 22, 2020, the ICA will host two pre-performance talks, one post-show question and answer session, and one post-performance meeting and conversation with local choreographers.
