Jade Solomon Curtis will present two performances of “Black Like Me: An Exploration of the Word Nigger.” The first will be an evening public performance for the University community and the general public from our region. The second will be a morning matinee for which local high school students will be bussed to campus. Both performances have a post-performance discussion and both are also a part of a University initiative during the month of October 2019 commemorating the “400 Years of Inequality.” As the committee responsible for this commemoration continues the planning, we hope to integrate Jade into a panel discussion with other guest speakers and faculty experts.
