The Joyce Theater

The Joyce will promote and present Bodytraffic in six performances featuring the New York premiere of "SNAP,” an original dance work for eight dancers by Micaela Taylor at The Joyce Theater, March 23-28, 2021. Inspired by James Brown, the “Godfather of Soul,” and set to an original score by singer/songwriter David Schocke that features snippets of Brown’s music, “SNAP” explores how images are used as narratives on social media and in pop culture. Alongside “SNAP,” Bodytraffic will perform an all-Joyce premiere program that will include “(d)elusive minds” by Fernando Hernando Magadan, and “Resolve” by Rubberlegz/Wewolf.
