Embodiment Project (EP), a San Francisco-based street dance theater company, will present a new work “X Rated Planet: the epigenics of femicide” from April 16-18, 2020 at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, including a post-show Q&A. The documentary dance theater company, led by Artistic Director & Choreographer Nicole Klaymoon, explores gender-based sexual violence through fusion of street dance forms, verbatim theater, choreo-poetry, live song, and interactive video art. “X Rated Planet” is an original work of documentary hip hop dance theater that will engage Bay Area audiences in a critical conversation around the root cause of sexual violence and the myriad journeys to healing.
