An extensive network of swing dance communities is active across the United States, and engaging these communities in their homebases where they gather for swing dance jams and classes is central to the touring plans for Swing Out née Swing 2020. Towards this end, Swing Out will send a team of two to four dancers from its cast to at least five selected tour cities (Washington, DC; Miami, FL; Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis, MN; & Los Angeles, CA) prior to the arrival of the rest of the production team. For the two days prior to the load-in date of the full production, these artists with meet up with local Lindy Hoppers and also offer a series of free swing dance classes for all ability levels.
