Stones to Rainbows/Gay to Queer Lives is an installation and performance project developed in two parts. Part 1 will explore the inter-generational and cross-sectional dialogue among LGBTQIA+ community members through workshops, facilitated interviews and archival research; and professional artists and community will bring these personal histories, text, video and visual art together to create multiple portable illuminated installations. For Part 2, the installation elements becomes a frame and backdrop for curated performances by LGBTQIA+ artists including live dance, music and spoken word, that will take place in public, in both indoor and outdoor sites in Boston.
