FirstWorks

FirstWorks is eager to bring Lee Mixashawn Rozie to Providence as a part of PVDFest 2020, a free four-day outdoor arts festival cofounded by FirstWorks and the City of Providence. Mixashawn is a practicing multi-disciplinary and internationally acclaimed Jazz artist who will participate in an in-school matinee performance, a local jam session with the Indigenous artists of Eastern Medicine Singers, and a workshop with older adults at Higher Ground International. This engagement is an expansion of current FirstWorks initiatives to highlight Indigenous artists through arts programming.
