The Black Radical Imagination is not a thing but a process,” - Robin D.G. Kelley. Print Ain’t Dead is exploring Blackness and feminism in the 21st century film. We will explore film as print and interrogate identity in the context of cinema. Through this shared experience we will transverse the slippages between memory, the archive, material, and history and fumble towards new articulations of witnessing and public making. Our intentions are to collectively envision a revolutionary future through Black vernacular and intellectual traditions to better understand (and perhaps recuperate) radical imagination as a tool and method for collective liberation.
