The Department of History and Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Wake Forest University plan to jointly host the following two virtual events: 1) the dance performance, "Peony Dreams: On the Other Side of Sleep" by Yin Mei Dance troupe; and 2) a guest lecture by and conversation with the creator-choreographer of this performance, Prof. Yin Mei of CUNY Queens College. The students in the History course on the Chinese Cultural Revolution and the EALC course on "Themes of Chinese Literature" are the main intended audiences, but these events will be open to all students and faculty. The ideal date for these events would be March 18, if at all possible!
