Sidy Maiga

Ever since I came in contact with Afro-Cuban and Latin music, I have noticed the similarities between them and West African music, where I am from. For years now, I have been very interested in this genre of music. I would like to learn their music and the culture. I plan on taking lessons with a Master percussionist from the Dominican Republic who has knowledge of music from various Caribbean Islands, including Cuba, and Trinidad so that I can incorporate the music with my own.
