inCOPnegro is an evening-length dance-theatre project exploring the relationship of Black America and American law enforcement through the lens of Black parenthood in Northeast Ohio and a targeted sharing strategy in cities on the route of the African-American Great Migration. The project aims to peel back the stories of individuals on both sides of the “blue line” while Dominic, a new Black father, looks to answer the question, “How do we raise our children in a world where those we fear the most are those who are supposed to protect us?” Highlighting an all-Black cross-disciplinary cast of seven artists, inCOPnegro is an intimate piece for audiences of all ages.
