In "Where we Belong", an intimate and exhilarating solo piece, the actor/writer Madeline Sayet echoes a journey to England braved by her Native ancestors in the 1700s following treatise betrayals–and forces us to consider what it means to belong in an increasingly globalized world. The International Festival of Arts & Ideas is proud to present this work from Madeline's home state of Connecticut, the historic home of the Mohegan people. This piece will be presented virtually, allowing audiences from across Connecticut and beyond to experience this masterwork. Madeline will also participate in workshops and discussions that allow the community to connect with the themes of the piece.
