West Claremont Center for Music and the Arts

Award-winning performers Kinan Azmeh, clarinet, and Dinuk Wijeratne, piano will perform their own compositions that fuse elements of Arabic and south Asian vocabulary with classical and jazz music idioms to create a new sonic world. During this engagement and live and online concert will be performed followed by a Meet and Greet with the artist, as well as a series of education workshops led by Dinuk Wijeratne, Nick Halley (percussion), and Melissa Richmond (Artistic Director, flute) and guests that focus on improvisation, composition and musicianship beyond the boundaries of institutional music education.
