Inspired by the past year, Capsule is a dazzlingly theatrical live concert event created and performed by Obie-winner Whitney White and Peter Mark Kendall. Featuring original rock, soul and pop music, the piece tracks the friendship between two artistic collaborators as they navigate issues of identity, mental health, and race, but Capsule is not just a show -- it’s an invitation to create a communal experience. Working with community to gather stories, testimonials, and multimedia, the piece is also a kind of theatrical time capsule; created by and for the people where the piece is being produced.
