Teatro ECAS / ECAS Theater

Teatro ECAS is the largest independent Spanish language theater in New England with a 24-year history. The company presents theater programs and educational programs to meet the evolving needs of the Southside Providence Latinx community. The company is led by Artistic Director/Executive Director Francis Parra. Recently, there has been a four-year trend of 30% year-over-year average budget growth.

Teatro ECAS plans to be a national model and leader in the field for comparable pay for Latinx artists and teaching artists. In 2021, we will offer actor salaries in line with the Actors Equity Association, the union which governs professional actors and stage managers in the United States.
