Sandglass Theater will present a hybrid version of their play Babylon: Journey of Refugees at Stockton University Performing Arts Center. This performance will include a showing of the filmed version of the play with a live talk-back from ensemble members. “Babylon looks at the relationship of refugees to their homelands, lost and new, and the conflicts that exist within the countries to which they flee. Using puppets and moving panoramic scrolls, five actor/singer/puppeteers tell refugees’ stories in original four-part choral songs.” Sandglass will also lead residency activities at Stockton which include campus classroom visits, refugee journey workshops, and storytelling circles.
