Portland Ovations

In January 2022, Ovations presents Blues artist Samuel James and the world premiere of his work “Already Home Recordings Volume 2”, developed over this past year as part of Ovations’ new Maine Artists Commissioning Program. In addition to the live performance, James will participate in digital artist conversations about the new work, a conversation with a Maine-based scholar on the significance of the new work, and a post-show meet and greet. A celebrated arts educator, James will also bring his Blues in the Schools workshop to area educators and students, if possible.
