Next Stage Arts Project

Palestinian cellist and composer Naseem Alatrash will perform a mix of improvisation and traditional melodies, with a focus on traditional Arabic music and contemporary classical music. Presenting Alatrash’s concert at Next Stage and an online discussion between Alatrash and cellist Eugene Friesen. In addition, a masterclass for Classical musicians focused on improvisation will occur prior to the performance. The performance, discussion and masterclass directly supports Next Stage's vision of serving Southeastern Vermont as a regional cultural hub and instigator of meaningful cultural experiences while inviting multicultural dialogue.
