Global Arts Live will present the world premiere of Traka by Jean Appolon Expressions (JAE). Traka, meaning “Troubles” in Haitian Creole, is an exploration into how dance, culture, and community are pathways to healing for victims of traumatic events. Traka highlights ways that dance and culture can support healing on both individual and community levels. This engagement includes two community workshops and a panel discussion that will help inform the final work that will be presented in two public performances at the Institute of Contemporary Art Boston.
