The Yard

Adele Myers and Dancers, Inc. (AMD) will present These Women In Space and Time (T.W.I.S.T.) on July 15 and 16 at The Yard in Chilmark, MA. As co-commissioner of this work, The Yard is thrilled to bring AMD’s vital, high-energy dance theater performance to island audiences as we celebrate our historic 50th year anniversary. In addition to performances of T.W.I.S.T, the artists will offer two TWISTalks, one on the campus of The Yard with a movement component, and one “down island” at a community partner venue, with a focus on storytelling.These community engagement opportunities are designed to bring femme-identifiying patrons together to share stories, laugh, and, as AMD writes, “twist against disempowering ways we move through the world in our daily choreographies.”
