Bates Dance Festival will present Rennie Harris PureMovement’s Rome and Jewels as part of our 40th anniversary season. Rome and Jewels was originally commissioned by, workshopped, and presented at Bates Dance Festival in 1999 and BDF has been a long-time supporter of RHPM. This presentation will be central to our 40th anniversary celebration weekend and will offer audiences and community members an opportunity to revisit a work that has been re-imagined but will still be familiar in many ways.
