Karen Krolak

Alternative Access Routes is an intensive weeklong experiment exploring of ideas about access, touring, and collaboration between Janine Harrington from the UK and karen Krolak from the US. Both artists will gather in person in studios that are accessible to artists who use mobility devices on the unceded lands of the Massachusett and the Pawtucket for a week in November 2022. Janine Harrington and karen Krolak first met at a Simone Forti workshop in Orvieto, Italy in 2008 and are eager to improvise together again as they look at how to navigate touring their works with companies that require a variety of access needs throughout New England.
